Fire Suppression

Our rack hosting colocation facility has fire detection and suppression systems situated throughout. This covers the entire complex including underneath the data floors, and all procedures are designed to highlight and minimise any potential risk to your data.

Our facilities utilise addressable fire detection systems with both ionisation and optical detectors in the suites, ceiling voids and sub-floors. As an additional level of security we have also implemented Very Early Smoke Detection Alarm (VESDA) aspirating smoke detectors, which are able to detect smoke partials at a very early stage. These allow the best possible opportunity to detect problems before there is any chance of fire.

With a two-stage alarm system the final level of defence will be the deployment of our IG55 clean agent gas designed to extinguish fire in seconds, ensuring any risk to your data is negligible and is completely safe to humans.
